Batsi beach is perhaps the most beautiful ingredient that creates this very lovely picturesque village. It stands out for its vast golden sand, as well as its shallow waters. Danaides Studios is located literally next to the beach, so your whole stay reaches another level of quality.

If you visit with your family, you have one more reason to enjoy Batsi beach, thanks to its easy access. The view from the sea towards the picturesque marina of the village will surprise you. A night swim at Batsi beach is something you should try: the lights falling from the village onto the dark blue waters recall a novel and a Hollywood film.

Other nearby beaches are Colona (650m), Agios Kyprianos (1.5km) and Agia Marina (1.5km).

The noble island

Batsi is located on Andros, the closest Cycladic island, just 2 hours from Athens and the second largest after Naxos. Andros has a vast coastline with many beautiful beaches, while the landscape is dominated by high mountains, gorges, small and large rivers, valleys and streams.

Batsi is a seaside fishing village of Andros, just 8 km from Gavrio and 27 km from Chora, built right by the sea. Around it you will find many bars, taverns, restaurants and shops for shopping and souvenirs. Batsi beach is protected from north winds and is fully organised, a very good choice for families.

The surrounding villages

If you have a car, it is worth visiting the villages around Batsi. The most notable are Remmata, Katakilos, Arni and Ateni. You will find Remmata before Katakilos: a village of few houses, but with very lush vegetation of ivy and plane trees. Katakilos is very close to Remmata, and the drive among the trees and the river is well worth it.

Arni is verdant, with rich vegetation and crystal-clear waters. The legend behind the picturesque village says that whoever drank from its cool waters would forget everyone they loved. Finally, Ateni is an equally small, lush village worth walking through, ending at the very beautiful beach of Lefki.
